Students participate in an intensive foundation in Health and Physical Fitness. The student will learn the fitness concept, practice exercises for developing proficiency in the component, and engage in activities which will further the development in a more positive, fun way. Grade 9 Parents/Guardians
As the school year inches closer to the end, your son or daughter will be completing the mile run. This is used to get them prepared for the fitness test they will complete during their sophomore year. Students have been working towards running the four laps and are encouraged to practice on their own time as well. Students will run their mile the 3rd week of May. I will be looking at the weather forecast to find a day that will be best for everyone. Students are also encouraged to bring a bottle of water, personal inhaler (if necessary) and to eat a great breakfast the day of the run. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to email me mcraig@wolcottps.org. As always please check on our Wellness website for any updates or announcements.
